At exactly 9 in the morning of May 8, 2011, hundreds of participants to include Tzu Chi commissioners, volunteers, donors/members, benefactors and the Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) medical volunteers participated in a very tranquil and solemn ecumenical ceremony to celebrate three auspicious occasions: Buddha's Birthday, Mother's Day and Global Tzu Chi 45th anniversary. With their palms together, heads bowed and united in prayers with other Tzu Chi offices worldwide, everyone prayed for a world free of disasters, peace and prosperity for our country and for their own family/personal intentions. The ceremony ended at 10:30 AM. After the ceremony, 2 mobile Buddha Bathing Stations were set up by the Tzu Chi volunteers and were brought to the different wards of the Zamboanga City Medical Center by the Tzy Chi volunteers to give the patients confined and their relatives the opportunity to join the world in prayer as well as received the immeasurable blessings brought about thousands of people praying together for answers to their intentions.

This event marked only the 3rd year the Triple Celebration aws held in Zamboanga City specifically at the Tzu Chi Great Love Eye Center. It was heartwarming to note that the ceremony was participated by people from different faiths, age groups and status in life as they humbled themselves, bowed and prayed to their respective Gods as they lay their hands on the scented water as a act to renew their convenant as they wash away their negativity and sins and pledge to start anew on a positive note.

As in the past years, the tranquility of the ceremony brought tears to some of the participants as they reflected on the year that passed. The participants used the occasion in making their donation and make their prayers for the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Victims.
Tzu Chi Zamboanga would like to thank those who participated and wish that all their prayers will come true.
